Wires with high electrical conductivity as well as high tensile strength properties are required for certain tasks. Because their mechanical strength is too low, pure copper wires, the best of all industrially used conductors, are not usually suited for these applications. However, Nextexk Group NEXTMCC0.3 (CuCr0.3) wires, which combine both properties in an optimal manner, are suited.
NEXTMCC0.3 (CuCr0.3) family, renowned by its unique combination of mechanical strength and electrical conductivity, is a RoHS-compliant copper chromium alloy to replace cadmium chromium copper. It fulfills the requirements of ASTM B624. NEXTMCC0.3 (CuCr0.3) achieves a mechanical strength of 414 MPa at 85% IACS in annealed conditions.
It has a good corrosion resistance and can be coated with nickel, tin or silver. NEXTMCC0.3 (CuCr0.3) has good flex live properties and high softening resistance for use at higher temperatures.
NEXTMCC0.3 (CuCr0.3) wires are delivered as round and stranded wires with diameters ranging from 0.05 to 0.3mm. Typical fields of application are signal and overhead wires for railways and automotive cables. In light of the need to save space and weight, the automotive industry and other sectors require conductive wires with the smallest possible diameters ('miniaturization') that are also able to reliably fulfill increasingly strict demands in terms of load capacity and required service life. The same applies to contact elements for plugs and switches, which are also made of wire. In general, there are a multitude of possible applications for NEXTMCC0.3 (CuCr0.3) wires in the growing fields of energy supply, generation and management and data transfer.
Nexteck takes part in exhibitions regularly every year, such as ELECTRONICA China, NEPCON electronics, wirechina and so on.
